Welcome to this month’s edition. Highlights include:
Damian Piper CBE our Resilience Coach starts this month edition with: Beyond SMART “I thought I’d focus this month’s article on some thoughts about working with an individual who is taking forward an objective on your behalf. To help this, many organisations use acronyms to structure an objective – SMART is a common one…….”
From me: 20 Leadership & Wellbeing lessons I wish I could have passed on to a younger me. “I have recently retired, my last employment was with the army. Retirement brings reflection, what would my 68-year-old self-tell my (nearly) 18-year-old self? There would be two pieces of news! And twenty leadership & wellbeing lessons I would pass on……”
I have included my article ‘Fail – Fail Big’. One of the perks of two careers over 50 + years (I started work when I was 15 years old) is that my failures have helped me to become a stronger person; helped me to build successful careers; stopped me from being complacent (ever again!); made me hungrier for success and to value success when it came my way. “Success is not final, and Failure is not fatal” – it is the courage to continue that counts.
Graham Belgum has two important messages from his excellent series of ‘Thought for the week ahead’ ‘Leadership’ and ‘The burning platform’.
There are lots more in this month’s edition so let’s dive in together……
